The Archive Collection
Two things happened. One was, we had a load of messages asking if styles that we had long run out of would ever come back, and two, we had a look at our yarn left-overs and realised that with a bit of help from the knitters, we might be able to use up some ‘end-of-cones’.
Usually, when you ask a knitwear manufacturer to make up your sweaters, you have to ask for a precise number and supply the right amount of yarn. Getting the right amount is a right old game – particularly if you haven’t done it before (me) and you’re a bit crap at maths (me). Anyhow, cut a very long story short, we had enough left-overs at our knitters to recreate some of the old Bee&Sons favourites plus a load of mohair/silk and recycled cashmere scarves. This allows us to say, hand-on-heart, that we have no wasted yarn at Bee&Sons - we’ve used every last bit, as we should.
The archive styles are few, so jump in quick if you have long-hankered for a Fi (Long) – that’s the ivory mohair with purple – or a Lovejoy (Long), a Minnie (Cropped) or even a Bunny (Long).
